Now onto another of Yrsa’s books, My Soul To Take. Again, it’s supremely readable and enjoyably grim, but above all, I feel if this series of books featuring the lawyer Thora Gudmundsdottir continues in this fashion it will become quickly one of my favourite series ever. Highly recommended.
Started this a few days ago, and nearly through already. Seriously readable and surprisingly fun. It bounces along at a great pace and covers some fascinating yet unsettling topics. Highly recommended so far!
Currently reading this little beauty, and enjoying it a lot. A compelling murder-mystery against the backdrop of the Icelandic financial crisis. This interview too is insightful in a lot of different ways, not least when discussing the author’s own integration into Icelandic society, from an Englishman’s perspective. Really enjoying Icelandic fiction at the moment, and it’s becoming a most welcome itch to scratch.
